The Fall Kickoff Game Night was a great time to fellowship with one another and meet new members. We had 7 families with lots of kids jumping on the trampoline, playing games, and munching on snacks. We introduced what our group is all about, to help Christian homeschooling families in the area. New friends were made as we connected and realized how many things we have in common.
What a phenomenal presentation we had on Monday with Dr. Titus Kennedy, professor and supervisor of excavations in Jerusalem! How cool to talk to someone who is an archaeologist, who has actually touched artifacts that existed during the time of Christ! He gave a powerpoint presentation that showed ample evidence from archaeology, of how Scripture is supported by the physical evidence left behind, under the ground. He started with Genesis and continued all the way to the New Testament, showing artifact after artifact that mentioned people from Scripture, during the time periods that they would have existed. The pictures were interesting, and the questions afterwards were really good. Someone asked what a typical day for an archaeologist was like. He answered all the questions candidly. It made me want to be an archaeologist. This workshop was fascinating, and I'm glad we had the opportunity to hear him! |
