    Membership Statement

CFHE membership is available to independent homeschoolers as well as those that are educating in the government school programs (Parent Partnerships Program (PPP), Alternative Learning Experience (ALE), Virtual Academy).  Because we believe that God has given parents the ultimate authority in the education of their children CFHE will not endorse or support any government funded program and will continue to teach the truth about such programs.

    Volunteer Statement

CFHE is run 100% by volunteers. These volunteer hours will be dedicated to helping homeschoolers who are homeschooling independently who do not have other means of support.  We are asking all Christian Family Home Educators members to help out with something during the school year. Remember, this is your homeschool group; we are here to encourage and support each other. We are not a service organization--we are a support group! There is a lot to do, and we need your help. There are many areas from which to choose, from one-time-event jobs to jobs you can do from your home. There is something for everyone. If you have an idea or an activity you'd like to host, contact us.
If you know a specific area for which you would like to volunteer, you may list it below:

    Purpose Statement

Christian Family Home Educators is a Christian, non-denominational, nonprofit homeschooling support group dedicated to helping parents educate their children at home. We encourage and support parents who homeschool in Spokane Valley and surrounding areas by coordinating and facilitating academic, informational, or social activities that are beneficial to homeschooling families. CFHE does not presume to know the best method for homeschooling. We will not promote one curriculum over another, nor will we evaluate or promote one program over another.

    Faith Statement

    We Believe
The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and constitutes His completed and final revelation to man. The Bible, in its original autograph, is without error in whole and in part, including theological concepts as well as geographical and historical detail.

God has existed from all eternity in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was God come in human flesh being fully God and fully man, except without sin.
All men are in violation of God's righteous requirements and His holy character both by nature and act, and are therefore under His wrath and just condemnation.

The central purpose of the coming of Jesus Christ was to pay the penalty for man's sin through His substitutionary death on the cross, the successful accomplishment of which was attested to by his subsequent visible, bodily resurrection.
Salvation is offered as a gift, free to the sinner. This gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but in the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ alone.
We understand family to mean a married man and a woman.

    God's Plan of Salvation
God loves you: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Man is separated from God by sin: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." (Romans 3:23) "For the wages of sin is death." (Romans 6:23)

The death of Jesus Christ in our place is God's only provision for man's sin: "He (Jesus Christ) was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification." (Romans 4:25)

We must personally receive Jesus Christ as our Savior and Lord: "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (John 1:12)

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast" (Ephesians 2:8,9).

    Activity Statement

As a Christian home school group, we do not directly sponsor activities, classes, etc. that violate what we feel are basic Christian principles. However, when CFHE ventures out into the secular realm either for field trips or Imax or any other outside activity not under our direct control, we make no claims of suitability for your family.

Of course, Christian Family Home Educators only offers activities that we believe would be acceptable to most members of our group. Our intention is not to offend anyone and certainly not to do anything that would dishonor the Lord, but in a group as large and diverse as CFHE, it would be impossible for any one person to be the "conscience" for the entire organization.

In addition, CFHE does not take responsibility for the safety of your children during any CFHE activity or during transportation to or from any CFHE activity. We are not a school; we are a group of individual parents who voluntarily get together to provide educational opportunities for our children and as such, each family is responsible for the safety of their own children at all times.
We will continue to provide the activities and attempt to give you enough objective information to help you make good decisions for your children.
By filling in your name(s) & submitting this document electronically to CFHE, you are indicating that you have read and agree with the aforementioned Membership Form.

All information is confidential unless otherwise noted and will only be used to help us provide better service.  We do not sell or distribute our mailing/phone lists for any purpose.  We do ask our members not to use CFHE lists for business purposes.
