If you spend any time on Facebook, you may have already seen this excellent post on why doctors and lawyers educate their children at home. But, if you haven't, it is well worth your time. Written by a medical doctor who is also a mom to five children (the fifth one is due to arrive in September), it gives a great perspective on why any parent might choose to homeschool, and debunks many of the arguments against it.
If you want to be encouraged, or have some fresh food for thought, you can read the article here. You may not agree with everything Dr Berchelmann writes, but you will undoubtedly agree with more than a few of her reasons. After reading the article, come back and post what your favorite reasons to homeschool are.
Tomorrow, March 16, is the Moms "Thrift Store Extravaganza" and we still have room if you want to join us. We will be leaving from Marchauna Rodgers home about 10:30 am and returning between 3:00 pm and 3:30 PM. The cost is just $5 for gas plus lunch and whatever treasures you may find. If you want to join us, contact Marchauna today, either by phone (509-979-2806) or email, firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope to see you tomorrow!

2013 Convention Update:
The church where we hosted the CFHE Convention for the past 3 years decided that they could not continue to rent their facility to outside groups. We have been diligently looking for another facility where we could host the 2013 convention and at this date we have been unable to find a facility within our budget that fit our square footage needs and has availability during our timeframe.
We are working on putting together a one-day FREE Homeschool Conference this March or April with local speakers to offer encouragement, how-to advice, and hope. Sadly, we will not be able to offer our popular Vendor Hall this year. We will be posting information about our one-day event on our website, www.cfhe.net, on our Christian Family Home Educators facebook page, and in the weekly updates.
Please keep the CFHE Convention Committee in your prayers as we are still seeking a new location and hope to come back strong in 2014. If you are interested in being a part of the CFHE Convention Committee, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Sincerely the CFHE Convention Committee
I hope this finds you all rejoicing in the ways of the LORD!
